Hey everybody! Welcome to our first podcast of AdventuRetired. We are Curt and Cindy Liljedahl, and we are so glad you found us! Here is a little background about us, your hosts! We have been married 34 years and Curt is a retired physics teacher/diving coach/aquatics director and I am a retired elementary reading specialist! Together we have 60 years of teaching in the classroom.
We were both born and raised on farms in Iowa and met at Iowa State University (Go Cyclones). We moved to south Texas for our careers where we lived in the Rio Grande Valley for over 30 years.
Retirement for us came with a dream to move back to our roots in Iowa and find a piece of lake life. We both love to travel and experiencing new people and cultures so a podcast sounded like a great way to share our retired life with others. We also want to share the adventures of other retired people we have encountered on our journey.
